Narberth U9s 3 v 0 Kilgetty U9s
4 02 2008Saturday the 26th saw Kilgetty under 9s travelling to Narberth. Buoyed by success away to Solva in their last match the team’s spirits were high and the game was hard fought.
The final score of 3 – 0 to Narberth was in no way a reflection of the game with both sides having near equal possession of the ball. The deadlock was broken just before half time when a goalmouth scramble, which including an excellent save by Harry Phillips, was eventually poked home from close range.
Kilgetty had their chances but Narberth saw off the attacks and completed their victory with two more goals in the second half.
Man of the match this week was Ross Williams for his dogged defending and surging runs out of defence to clear Kilgetty’s lines.
